Suddenly the weather has decided that snow is so last season and has launched straight into "sunny and warm". Whilst many might be happy about this, we wiser weather watchers remain concerned that today was our annual one day of summer. Which would be (a) early and (b) bode ill for the rest of the year. Always finding ways to temper our enthusiasm - just in case...!
Also, I would like to take this opportunity to make my regular note that this is not summer. Summer has not arrived, we are not now experiencing summer, and winter has not just suddenly ended. This is spring. It has been spring since March, and will continue to be spring until June begins. It's not hard, but every year, first day of warm summer weather, first it's "oh, summer has finally arrived" and then it's "well, that's it, summer's over already and it's not even May". IT'S SPRING!!
Anyway, did another walk today, which makes 15k this week (learning from President Wotsit and always going for a bigger number) so far! Shall take tomorrow evening off as a rest/recovery day I think, and then return to the slog on Saturday. Fizzing with all the energy that only lovely, healthy salad can give you... *sigh*
:o)
Stats, Thursday 19th April
Walking time/distance: 54 mins, 3.38 miles (and around again...)
